Description

This unusual handbag has been created c.2009 by textile designer Sarah Bayley, a designer based in Falmouth, Cornwall. The bag has been made by combining weaving, knotting and tying techniques and has been constructed using milk bottle tops, shower hosing, a CD and waste from the pharmaceutical packaging industry. The latter is a result of overproduction therefore unused but nevertheless destined for landfill. In 2019, the designer contacted MoDiP to explain that she no longer makes these bags because her supply of materials is no longer available as the company overproducing has since invested in inhouse recycling machinery to combat this issue.
